We believe that good design honors its environment—and our recently completed renovation of Casa Dela Tierra in Camiguin is a perfect reflection of this principle. Tucked away in the lush island landscape, this home blends modern functionality with raw, nature-inspired aesthetics, giving new life to a well-loved island retreat.
Breathing New Life into a Classic Island Home
The renovation focused on reimagining the layout and refreshing the design elements to match the client's evolving needs while preserving the soul of the original structure. From spatial planning to final styling, every detail was guided by a single goal: to create a space that feels calm, cohesive, and connected to the natural surroundings.
Design Language: Warm Neutrals with a Strong Contrast
We infused the space with an earthy neutral with accent—black, wood tones, and off-white walls—that evokes serenity and simplicity. To ground the look, black accents were strategically introduced through lighting fixtures, furniture frames, and select wall sections, adding just the right touch of modern edge to the overall design.
Open, Airy, and Rooted in Nature
We maximized natural ventilation and daylight by enhancing window placements and flow between spaces. The dining and lounge areas now open up seamlessly, making the most of the ocean breeze and mountain views that make Camiguin such a gem.
The materials we selected—including wood textures and natural fibers—were chosen not just for their visual appeal but also for their harmony with the tropical climate. Durability meets design in every corner.
Built for a Slower, More Intentional Lifestyle
Casa Dela Tierra now serves as a peaceful sanctuary—a retreat for reconnecting with nature, self, and family. This project challenged us to refine the idea of simple living, and we’re proud to have created a home that encourages just that.
