Senior Accountant

Overview:
JAS Design and Build is looking for a highly experienced Senior Accountant to manage and oversee the company’s financial operations. This role involves handling financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance to ensure accuracy, transparency, and fiscal efficiency across all projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.

Manage payables, receivables, and payroll processes efficiently.
-
Ensure compliance with government regulations, tax filings, and audit requirements.

Coordinate with project teams to monitor budgets, cost tracking, and expense allocations.

Maintain and improve internal accounting systems and controls.
-
Provide financial insights to support management decisions and strategic planning.

Review and reconcile accounts, and prepare month-end and year-end closing reports.
Qualifications:
-
Significant work experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar advanced accounting role.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Advanced MS Excel skills and strong digital proficiency.

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and lead accounting staff.

In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, tax compliance, and financial regulations.

Strong attention to detail, integrity, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Additional certifications (CPA or CMA) are highly preferred.
